Hi There, my father is in place where there is absolutely NO support for stroke victims or rehab. He attended rehab here in Australia for 1 month and the improvement was amazing. He is now deteriorating, muscle tone, balance etc. Is there a book that I can purchase with a large number of illustrated exercises or work outs that we can help him with to attempt some sort of physical rehab. His self esteem is also going down hill. He suffered a cerebellar stroke in January last year. At the moment his breathing and dizziness are what is affecting him most.

This sounds like a very challenging situation for both you and your father.  

The first things that we need to do is figure out the cause of this deterioration. Is it that he hasn’t had access to stroke rehabilitation, or is there something else going on?

I am concerned about his dizziness and breathing difficulties and would recommend that he seek medical attention from either his GP or local hospital as soon as possible.
