There are many types of blood pressure medications, each with varying effects. Some people can experience swelling of the legs, however this varies from person to person. Another point to note is that leg swelling can have a different cause, so it would be best to discuss this with your dad’s GP as soon as possible. His GP could review his medication, identify the cause and determine the best way to manage the swelling. Alternatively, your dad could ask his GP for a Home Medication Review.

I have a similar problem with regard to my feet. Although not serious it does make it more difficult to put on shoes, so I use a long handled shoe-horn. I summer I wear simple slip-on shoes.
