3 ResponsesI am an occupational therapy student working with a stroke survivor who had his stroke 5 years ago and has lost all function and movement in his right hand due to the tightening of his finger flexors.
He is considering tendon release surgery to his wrist and fingers to improve the appearance and hygiene of his hand.
His main hesitancy around the surgery is how much, if any, movement he would have if he got metal plates and pins put in.
Does anyone have any advice or experiences surrounding such a surgery and recovery?
