Hi Jim,
Thanks for your post. We haven’t had many questions about itching in the context of stroke.
Is this something that your GP is aware of? It would be worth checking with them to explore whether this is a side effect of medications. Just bearing in mind that we would recommend that you continue taking your medication as its prescribed and not to stop or adjust the dosage without consulting your doctor.
It sounds very uncomfortable; hopefully you get answers soon.
Any other questions, please feel free to get in touch again,
Best Wishes,
Lisa (StrokeLine - 1800 787 653)
Hi Lisa
Thanks I did see the doc and been taken off blood pressure blood thinner tablets. Iching gone after couple of weeks. Only on blood clotting pills now.
I now inbetween something and nothing. All the tests including MRI have not found a thing. So did I have a stroke to start with? Only things I have now are headaches that come and go at will, get tired sooner and think my right eye vision has changed marginally but it was always was weaker due to years of work. I can still see perfectly well and given the OK to drive.
Life goes on and I not dwelling on whether I had a stroke or not. Off camping for a month in Sept..
Thanks for your help
Jim
