1 ResponsesI have read about the loss of sensory changes from a stroke at enable me and I found it very informative. However, I couldn't find anything about what I describe as a 'hissing' sound 24/7 - except when I am sleeping.
After my stroke, I found I had a continuing high sound 'inside my brain' but gradually became lower and lower until the sound had nearly disappeared, still there, but very low. Unfortunately, I had a major seizure a month ago and this sound - hissing - is there 24/7. Again, not a when I am sleeping. It is not as bad as it was just when I had my stroke, nevertheless, it is back again and quite high.
If I am very tired, suffering from cognitive fatigue, then this 'hissing' sound increases. Also, I find sounds, such as dishes, plates, and pots etc, quite painful to hear and to have a lot of people talking at the same time.
I am wondering if anyone else has the same problem of a hissing sound or the problem of painful sounds.
