How do I find a GP that is familiar with stroke? Is there a listing available for northern suburbs of Perth?

Thank you for your question. It will be important for Tim to have a good GP as he moves through his stroke recovery journey. There is not a specific listing for GP’s who are familiar with stroke, but we have some information about how to find a GP that suits your needs.

Also, on Enable Me the Getting Good Healthcare page which has lots of information, including a link to a guide to choosing good GP from consumer advocacy group CHOICE.

Here is a website for finding a list of suitable GP’s in your area. Once you’ve found the ones near you, call a few and let them know you are looking for a GP which experience and interest in stroke and see who they suggest.
