Hello Cindy
Thanks for reaching out to us on EnableMe. It’s great that you are actively supporting your husband in his rehabilitation.
We cannot specifically recommend any neuropsychologists, but we have had feedback from another agency working with people with an acquired brain injury regarding the ones listed below:
Dr Jacqueline Boon, 260 Petrie Terrace, Brisbane. Ph: 07 3839 9978
Linda Toy Level 22 TPG Building, 127 Creek St, Brisbane Ph: 3217 2201.
Leanne Jackson Level 4 Watkins Medical Centre 225 Wickham terrace, Spring Hill 4000 Ph. 3839 2005.
You can also search the Australian Psychological Society’s Find a Psychologist service for psychologists that specialise in neuropsychological assessment in your area.
It would also be worth speaking with your husband’s current treating team about an ongoing referral to a community rehabilitation program. You are welcome to give us a call to discuss this option further. There are teams available that work specifically with those who have an acquired brain injury.
I hope that is helpful. Please contact StrokeLine on 1800 787 653 if you have any other questions.
Best wishes,
Joanna and Siobhan (StrokeLine)
