Hi Fiona,
Thank you for your question, and I'm sorry to hear you are still having difficulty with your left hand.
In regards to the music glove from Flint Rehab, we have not had any specific feedback from other stroke survivors. We are aware it is an option for purchase online, but have no clinical feedback on the device at the moment.
The best option would to discuss this with your treating team (Physio/Occupational therapist) as the benefit of this type of external stimulation equipment will depend on the outcome you wish to achieve, and whether this particular type of equipment is appropriate for your functional changes.
There are a number of rehabilitation devices that can be used at home focussing on similar activities focusing on neuroplasticity. Some of these are available in Australia and can be fitted for you specifically and tailored to your goals by a health professional. It would be worth discussing this with your therapists or Gp.
If you are not currently being review by a treating team you could discuss with your Gp whether you would be eligible for the chronic disease management plan which would entitle you to 5 Medicare rebated allied health sessions.
I’m sorry we couldn’t give you more specific feedback regarding the music glove but I hope this information was helpful.

Hi Kim,
I have just received a Flint Rehab FitMi device (via a mate in the US) with the yellow & blue pucks.
I'm guessing you are here in Australia and was wondering if you could advise the make, model and wattage of the 240-110V step-down transformer/converter that you use forthe FitMi charger please? Also, if you could share where you bought the transformer please?
Kez
Hi KEZ, sorry for the late reply , I only just saw this, we are in Australia and we used a 240 v to 110 afapter
Hi KEZ M , we just used a 240v to a 110 adaptor
Hi ,
I have been looking at the Fit Mi and music glove for a while. It's great to read Aussie users' opinions.
My mum's stroke affected her entire right side. She's regained some movement and is highly motivated to exercise for as much recovery as possible.
Both of the Flint rehab products look great. My hesitation is that she is totally non-tech and having watched a YouTube video for the FitMi it appears one needs to be comfortable with following classic computer use prompts to proceed thru the program. She has super basic computer skills but obviously, I would assist her at least initially.
How simple or complex is the FitMi program?
Any comments on both the glove and the FiMi much appreciated particularly as it's an American product so can't be viewed . Cheers Shelley
Hi Shelley, I bought the fitmi for a stroke survivor male who is also not tech savvy at all ,he can use the fitmi easily , it really is very easy to use .
Hi i purchased the fitme and music
