Hi Betty,
Changes to facial sensation can occur following a stroke. Have the symptoms worsened over time? If so, I would encourage you to seek medical assistance immediately as this can be a sign of another stroke. If the symptoms have remained stable, I wonder whether they are impacting on your ability to close the left side of your mouth (eg. dribbling on the left), or impacting your speech? If so, ask your GP to refer you to a speech pathologist who can suggest strategies to assist.
Please contact us on StrokeLine (1800 787 653, AEST) if you have any further questions,
Best Wishes,
Lisa (Speech Pathologist for StrokeLine)
Yes Betty I get something similar to this. Across the bridge of my nose, across my cheek and up the side of face around my eye. And I get a fuzzy feeling in my head.
I have mentioned it to my GP a few times now and to my neurologist (who is dealing with my migraines) and they haven't seemed to come up with anything yet :/
i hope you get a better answer. :0)
