How long does dizzy spells, double vision and difficulty finding words last after a stroke?

We have since spoken to Bert’s family about the subdural haematoma. For those interested, the main recommendation was to speak to his neurosurgeon and neurology team about the ongoing dizziness and double vision. Seeing a physiotherapist and occupational therapy would also be a good idea.

In terms of the word finding difficulties, we would suggest focusing on managing the fatigue if that is a trigger. Taking breaks when tired and breaking up longer phrases into shorter sentences may work. You can ask for a referral to a speech pathologist (from your GP) for additional recommendations that would work for you.
