My speech has returned but I have a very strong accent which alters. Sometimes it's Italian, French, German Slavic changes frequently. Am I alone in this?

1 ResponsesI had my stroke in 2013 had a good recovery returned to work for 2 shifts then had an extension of my stroke which caused much more pronounced left sided deficits. I also initially was only able to stutter intelligently but now my speech has returned but I have a very strong accent which alters. Sometimes it's Italian, French, German Slavic changes frequently. I am an Aussie born here and find this frustrating .It has not gone back to aussie in 18 months since I regained speech and wonder if there are others out there that have the same experience? I find this a very strange anomaly and feel at times I have lost all of my original identity
