I have just answered another question of yours here. Talking to your dad's hospital team, particularly the doctor, nurses, physio, occupational therapist, speech pathologist and social worker will help you to decide if this is possible and what is required. It may be too early or unsafe to consider discharge at this stage given he still has a NG tube in and isn't alert. Have you had a family meeting yet?
There would be a number of steps and factors to consider in taking him home, some of them include:
- supports and services required
- equipment and care needs
- whether he is medically stable
