I'm having a pfo closure in a week and a half. I work in childcare, wondering how long it takes to recover and be able to go back to work? Doctor said procedure done on the Wednesday and I'll be right for work on the Monday? Does it depend on the person?

A Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) is often only identified after a TIA or stroke, with PFO closure offered for secondary prevention.

Recovery time after every operation is dependent on a lot of factors, including age and general health. Your cardiologist/heart specialist would have a good idea of your personal recovery time post PFO surgery, as it is very individualised.
