Is the 'brain wash' treatment in Indonesia safe and proven?

"Brain wash", also known as intra-arterial cerebral flushing, sets out to treat stroke patients with a combination of digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and heparin injection. I am wondering if any Western countries have used this practice and if it is a reliable procedure.

Thank you for your enquiry. Intra-arterial heparin flushing (IAHF) hasn’t been proven effective to use to treat or prevent stroke in Australia. Anyone wishing to make changes to their stroke treatment need to discuss these changes with their doctor.
