1 ResponsesI work as an Allied Health Assistant at the Geraldton Day Therapy Unit and am interested to know if the use of boxing as a rehab tool is useful, as it is with Parkinson's Disease?
Hi there,
Thank you for making contact with us. To our knowledge, there is no specific evidence about boxing, however there is literature about task-specific circuit class therapy to increase the amount of practice in rehabilitation. If you are interested, here is a link to the current clinical guidelines (currently being reviewed): https://strokefoundation.com.au/What-we-do/Treatment-programs/Clinical-guidelines
Please don’t hesitate to give us a call if you would like more information (1800 787 653, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm AEST).
Best Wishes,
Lisa (Speech Pathologist for StrokeLine)
