Hi Kiana,
Sorry to hear about your husband's stroke, it is wonderful news that he is making a good recovery.
Twitching isn't common after stroke. Have you seen the GP or his neurologist about this? If not that is your first step. He really needs to be assessed by a doctor so they can work out what is causing this to determine the best treatment. They would investigate whether it is an issue with the muscles, medication related or something completely different going on that could be unrelated to the stroke.
Depending on where this twitching is occurring you could also discuss with his rehab team (physio/occupational therapist) for their opinion as well as get a review by his doctor.
If you would like to discuss further please call StrokeLine on 1800 787 653 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).
Best wishes,
Simone (Occupational Therapist for StrokeLine)
Thank you, Simone. My husband will call you to discuss this further. His name is Ed Smith.
Great thanks Kiana, we will keep an eye out for his call.
