My partner can wake up normal then within half an hour or so cant walk and has trouble talking. This happens on and off at different times and severity during the day. Is this normal?

Hi Cheryl, 

I'm sorry to hear of your partner's stroke. From your description, it's unlikely that the recent symptoms are due to the stroke. I'd strongly recommend an urgent review by his GP and ideally, a neurologist, to firstly work out the cause of the symptoms then the best way to manage them.
