Hi Jake,
I'm sorry to hear about your stroke.
Physical activity is an important part of stroke recovery and secondary stroke prevention so it's great to hear you're so keen to get back into your sports. Given that your activities of choice are quite high intensity, I'd recommend first speaking with your neurologist.
Do you know if you have an appointment coming up with the outpatient stroke clinic? Most stroke survivors are booked into one of these clinics approximately 6 weeks after they leave hospital. This would be the best place to ask about returning to sports.
If you don't have an appointment, or if you feel like you can wait until then, speak to your GP.
For general information on exercise after stroke, have a look at our Mobility and Exercise fact sheet: https://strokefoundation.org.au/About-Stroke/Help-after-stroke/Stroke-resources-and-fact-sheets/Mobility-and-exercise-after-stroke-fact-sheet.
Alternatively, you can search 'exercise' here on EnableMe to see a range of related resources, blogs and forum posts
