Hi Cazzab,
I am sorry to hear about your stroke in October. It is certainly great to hear of a weekend trip to dreamworld! It is good that you went to your doctor to find out about flying. This is what we would recommend to get clearance to fly. It sounds as though your doctor is aware of you flying to get to Brisbane to go on rides and hasn’t stopped you from flying? And it sounds like they have discussed what you will do in your destination post flight.
If you are still concerned, you could book in to see your GP today.
Otherwise please ensure that if you fly, you take all your recommended medications and have a supply with you for ease and comfort on your holiday. History of stroke can increase your risk of developing a blood clot (deep vein thrombosis) when flying, so ensure that you are getting up and moving whilst on the flight. Drink lots of water too to stay hydrated on and off the flight.
All the best
Warm regards
Kath

Hey Kath,
Thanks for the reply and helpful hints. :-)
Yep I think he was more concerned about the rides than the plane. I am still a bit nervous but will be sure to take my medications and drink lots of water.
