Hi Patsy,
Wonderful to hear from you. This sounds like a wonderful opportunity to spend time with your granddaughter.
To fully answer your question, more questions arise for me that would be good to know. Is your specific question around how to increase your confidence and independence in minding her? Will you have anyone else with you? Are you going to be spending time with your granddaughter before you start minding her in February to practice? What is your balance currently like? Can you get down onto the floor safely? Are you able to pick her up at all?
This one might be better to discuss over the telephone so I can give you a more thorough response.
I could call you today or next week?
Best wishes,

Dear Simone
Izumi is about to leave us having been with us since Christmas Day last year. We( mother and father) of father Nicholas will leave for Brisbane Feb 1st and remain there until March 2nd, whilst both parents work.
I have been able to get down on the floor with Izumi and she seems to love a lot of our interactions, but Japanese grandmother and Frits rush to pick her up and take her away from me at every opportunity and of course at any sign of a grizzle.
I haven't picked her up yet because of my own balance and left side arm weakness. Yes, I would love to talk with you. Tomorrow Friday is their last day in Tasmania and they all fly off to Melbourne and from there to Japan and Brisbane. She's very much on the move now at almost 8 months.
I just feel that noone trusts me with my disability and I lack confidence in front of my husband's controlling manner.
Many thanks.(H) 0362292109 or (M) 0448399327.
