What is a fetal posterior cerebral artery

The last cerebral MRI I had 3 weeks ago mentioned this. Is this a type of collateral artery that has taken over perfuming part of my brain since my posterior arteries are blocked with plaque and it was too dangerous to operate. Or is it a genetic defectic that I have always had and made me prone to my original stroke.

Any specific questions you have relating to your MRI results are best discussed with the neurologist once they have your full reports. They will be able to explain whether this finding may be linked to your stroke, taking into account your full medical history.
