Hi there,
Eating a healthy diet is an important factor in stroke recovery and also prevention.
In terms of drinking milk post stroke, there is no evidence to suggest that this is detrimental to stroke recovery, however would be best in moderation and drinking mostly reduced fat options whereby possible.
Certain medications can be affected by dairy products, and that may be a reason for restriction, so I would recommend checking with your GP.
The Australian Dietary Guidelines provide information for healthy eating and is a fantastic resource. It provides a wide overview of a variety of foods from the five different food groups that can be enjoyed every day.
