Hi Hy,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Sorry to hear about your stroke. It sounds like you made great progress
Fatigue and weakness are unfortunately very common after stroke, however if both these worsen suddenly, it’s really important to seek medical help urgently. Sudden weakness can be a sign of another stroke, so we would strongly suggest you call 000 to be assessed and to find out why you very tired and weak this week.
Please give us a call on StrokeLine 1800 787 653 (9am-5pm Mondays to Fridays) if you have questions after being seen by a doctor,
All the best Hy,
Lisa (StrokeLine)
Hi Lisa:
Thanks a lot for your reply. I just saw my GP this morning and had blood test and a ECG test, the result will be available on the coming Monday. I hope that the doctor can find the problem, otherwise, I definitely will be back to you for further advice. - Best, Hy
Giddy mate, I to had a stroke 2 years ago. I returned to full time employment in the mines after 8 months. The fatigue and exhaustion was hard to deal with.people would look at me and say what's wrong with you today you in go slow mode or something. I found by explaining my situation to them, they become supportive and in most cases would lend a hand. Just keep going as best as you can. It's a credit to you for returning to work at all.
