What it involves: Interviews
Where: Online (Australia)
Summary:
Researchers at Deakin University are trialling a new work support program and are looking for people who are working (paid or unpaid) after stroke.
Strive to Thrive was created by people with a lived experience of stroke, clinicians and researchers. This program is designed to help people who have had a stroke identify what helps and hinders them at their work, and create a personalised action plan to manage the impact of the stroke on their day-to-day work life.
The team want to see if Strive to Thrive is acceptable to a broader group of people who have had a stroke, and make further adjustments and improvements based on their feedback.
Eligibility:
The team are looking for people who
- Have experienced a stroke at least one month ago
- Are currently participating in paid or unpaid work outside the home (employment, volunteer work, committee work etc.)
- Can communicate in English and participate in Zoom sessions.
Activity:
Participants will be asked to give 5 hours of their time over approximately one month. This includes 2 x 1-hour assessments, and 3 x 1-hour Strive to Thrive sessions. All sessions will be via Zoom.
