Summary
Researchers at University of Waterloo in Canada are conducting a study on strokes in young adults, to better understand stroke risk factors and improve prevention strategies.
Eligibility
You may be eligible to participate if you
- Have had a stroke between the ages of 18 to 50 years old
- Have not had brain surgery prior to having a stroke
- Have not had heart surgery or surgery to remove plaque from the carotid arteries.
Activity
An online survey that will take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.
- The survey begins with more information about the study and your rights as the participant.
- The survey will ask about various risk factors that may be associated with strokes in young adults.
- Questions include but are not limited to demographic questions and questions related to medical history, lifestyle factors, and any pre-existing conditions you may have.
- All survey responses are collected anonymously.
