Understanding the impact of stroke on family - Surviving and Thriving AfteR Stroke (STARS)

Are you a family living with stroke?

The STARS team at the University of Technology Sydney want to understand the impact of stroke on families.

We also want to identify current practices stroke clinicians use to support families where a parent has a stroke, gaps, barriers and facilitators to providing optimal care.

We want to talk to families impacted by stroke.

We want to interview all family members where a parent has had a stroke, including:

  • Parents who have had a stroke
  • Co-parents
  • Children (3–18 years old) of a parent who has had a stroke.

Families can live anywhere in Australia. We can interview families online and where possible, in person.

If the person with stroke has communication problems that is OK. We will do our best to support their participation.

You can check if you can participate online.

Families impacted by stroke can contact Rebecca El-Helou at Rebecca.El-Helou@uts.edu.au for more information.
