Knox Stroke Survivors Support Group

Who it's for: We offer encouragement and practical support at a personal level for stroke survivors, carers and families who have been affected by stroke.

To help overcome loneliness and isolation by making new friends
To learn from others how to cope with disabilities
To learn how to access information and services
To enjoy a strong and supportive social network
To laugh, share experiences, and to celebrate one another's achievements.

When and where?

KSSSG meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at The Basin Community House, for a coffee, chat and a group meeting. Arrival time is 10:30AM and we supply free tea and coffee, but espresso coffee is also available at a small cost if desired.

Every other Wednesday of every month KSSSG holds Zoom meetings commencing at 10:30AM.

We have a group Anniversary BBQ in February, a Christmas in July lunch with the Boroondara Stroke Support Group at the Matthew Flinders hotel in Chadstone, a Melbourne Cup BBQ in October and a Christmas lunch early December.

We also celebrate members birthdays, and our BBQs are usually held at the Ferntree Gully Library.
