Knox Stroke Survivors Support Group

Who it's for: We offer encouragement and practical support at a personal level for stroke survivors, carers and families who have been affected by stroke.  

• To help overcome loneliness and isolation by making new friends
• To learn from others how to cope with disabilities
• To learn how to access information and services
• To enjoy a strong and supportive social network
• To laugh, share experiences, and to celebrate one another's achievements.

 

When and where?

KSSSG meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at The Basin Community House, for a coffee, chat and a group meeting. Arrival time is 10:30AM and we supply free tea and coffee, but espresso coffee is also available at a small cost if desired.

 

Every other Wednesday of every month KSSSG holds Zoom meetings commencing at 10:30AM.

 

We have a group Anniversary BBQ in February, a Christmas in July lunch with the Boroondara Stroke Support Group at the Matthew Flinders hotel in Chadstone, a Melbourne Cup BBQ in October and a Christmas lunch early December.

 

We also celebrate members birthdays, and our BBQs are usually held at the Ferntree Gully Library.
