Hi Sharyn,
Here are some comments about getting back to work from the Facebook group too. I hope that they help.
Duncan: Take your time and don't rush it, I got back to work as fast as I could after my stroke and followed all the agreed protocol suggested by my therapist and my employer but then I was made redundant which was a real kick in the guts.
Duncan has also written a great blog called 1000 days since my stroke
Steve: Depending on your type of work and what your stroke has affected, this will determine how getting back to work is possible. Preferably a graduated return is best as things won’t be the same and you will get tired quicker than before.
Karen: Sharyn, there's a Return to work after stroke Facebook Group. Lots of stroke survivors giving one another support and tips on their return to work journeys.
Flora: I was only good for 5 hours, but in a casual workforce, not that hard to find.
