Hi Heath,

Here are some more comments from the community:

Michelle Carlyon My husband is the same and he is working with his physiotherapist to help achieve that goal. I would highly recommend an Empower Golf workshop, we travelled from Central Queensland to the Gold Coast to attend one and it was totally worth it https://www.facebook.com/EmpowerGolfAustralia/

Paul Sprague I’m in this group because I had a stroke in Nov 2020, but I also work in allied health and had a client yesterday who is working on her golf swing. She spends 4 hours per week in an indoor center in Melbourne, and we have been working on stabilizing her ankle and shoulder on the affected side, to increase stability. You might ask your physio or EP to work with a local Orthotist to help you with some similar devices to help towards your goal.

Moira Finch start with short game putting with a larger ball to assist with swing technique and work down to golf ball size
weight transference in legs is really important
just like the pros use swing video footage to give you feedback
good luck !!

Duncan Mitchell Try throwing a football (soccer ball) against a wall and catching it to get the arms, shoulders, hips moving, I think that helped me. I'm still working on it and trying to re-learn the game as a left handed because my left side vision loss makes right handed golfing really annoying now.

Mike Boynes I found golf really helped my balance. Still a bit shaky on the left side but golf encourages me to think more about balance
Just walking and building fitness will make a positive impact to you
