Hi Dogan,
Here are some messages of encouragement from the Facebook community.
Emily: Be patient. All the hard work will make a difference. Best wishes! š«
Pip: I know you hear this often but “don’t Ever give up”
Dasha: I've had 2 strokes and had to learn all over again, I can walk to the corner shop and back twice a week, it's a 10minute walk but it takes me 30minutes each way so keep your chin up and a stay positive.
Lou: My experience....I guess half the battle was in my mind. Will is a funny thing...if you believe or not believe...it will be.
Laine: Listen to your body. If ur fatigued, rest up & try not to “push thru it” as it just means u spend more time in bed recovering after. Definitely stay positive... u will get there!! Good luck with ur new goal!! Can’t wait to hear that u have smashed it!!šš
Stephanie: Stay positive and focused. Never give up š
Martyn: take it slow and even, don't try too do much too soon. and as Joanie said, be kind to yourself. If some days you don't feel up to it, have a day off, much better than trying to push through. Fatigue is a bitch
Joanie: If you can stand up from sitting in a chair, try to do that regularly to strengthen your muscles. And remember that even a tiny bit of progress can have a cumulative effect. Also remember that some days will be harder than others, be kind to yourself.
Steve: Just keep at it. Be strong.
