Hey Mel,
Here are some suggestions from Facebook too:
John Turner Hi Mel you have done well setting your goals, now you have something to aim for I'm 12 years post stroke an still fighting lost my whole left side but now doing well I still have trouble with my shoulder though I did a trial on a "smart arm" machine which got my arm moving but also read the book " the brain that changes itself it gave me on-site into Nuro Plasticity of the brain an mate you have a hell of a job in front of you but YOU can determine what you want in life all is possible keep working mate an god bless
Alison Hurding Keep going I used a small foot cycle machine as a hand cycler instead ( high, low, straight head/ diff holds!..get one you can adjust the " pedal power" ! ) for my personal case baclofen made a huge difference ...( advised not butox by an expert as he felt it might slow my progress ) no overnight cure but slow / steady ( around 60 percent use from zero left hand/ arn movement after 18 months ... and counting š)
Julie Williams See a Neuro Physio. Do the action you want repetitively with your right arm then imagine doing it with your left
Leasha Ann I was the same after my stroke!
Hand weights & gentle stretching really helped.
Good luck friend šš
Duncan Mitchell Keep working on it. My physio focused on my shoulder movement and once I could do that the rest of the left arm followed.
Robyn Luxton My goal was to be able to do up my own bra... took me a few months and lots of exercise and physio but i did it... keep going and be determined and stubborn as... you'll do it... good luck..š¹
Emma Beesley I cut it, and I’m loving it!!
